Board Member Profiles

The Board represents the interests of the parents as a collegial body taking collective decisions for the enhancement, protection and well-being of the School. As such, the Board has full authority and responsibility for all matters connected with the governance of the School. In fulfilling its governing function, the Board establishes such policies and bylaws as may be required for the proper and efficient operation of the School.

The Board delegates certain executive powers in the areas of administration, staff selection, and curriculum implementation to the Director to manage the School according to the Board's policies. As the Board's chief executive officer, the Director is responsible for the administration of the Board’s policies, the execution of its decisions, the efficient operation of the School, and for keeping the Board informed about School operations and problems.

		KATI CSABA Canadian, Chair of the Board, has two children at PSI and was elected to the Board in June 2010. She also serves on the Policy Committee.

		KATHERINE MUNCHMEYER American, has two children at PSI. Katherine was elected to the Board in August 2011 and serves on the Building Committee.

		ANDREY LUKYANENKO Ukrainian, Treasurer, has one child at PSI and was co-opted to the Board in June 2010. He chairs the Legal and Finance Committee.

		ANDY TATE British, Secretary, has 3 children at PSI and was elected to the Board in June 2011. He also serves on the Policy Committee.

		NATALIE JARESKO Ukrainian, has two daughters at PSI. Natalie was elected to the Board in June 2007 and serves on the Finance & Legal Committee.

		YURY SPEKTOROV Ukrainian, has 3 children at PSI. Yury was elected to the Board in June 2007, and serves on the Finance & Legal Committee.

		IAN BORDEN Canadian, has 2 children at PSI and was elected to the Board in June 2009. He serves on the Finance & Legal Committee.

		KATIA IWASHKO Ukrainian, has one child at PSI and was elected to the Board in June 2009. She serves on the Personnel Committee.

		LINA NEMCHENKO Ukrainian, has one child at PSI and was elected to the Board in June 2011. She serves on the Building Committee and the Finance & Legal Committee.

		SVETLANA VOLOSHYNA Ukrainian, has two children at PSI and was elected to the Board in June 2009. She serves on the Personnel Committee.

		KRISTIAN JENSEN Danish, has 2 children at PSI and was elected to the Board in June 2011. He serves on the Building Committee.

		DEAN ROBSON British, has 2 children at PSI and was elected to the Board in June 2011. He serves on the Finance & Legal Committee.

In addition, as per PSI by-laws, the board includes three ex-officio board members:

		STEVEN CALLAND-SCOBLE British, as the Director of PSI has been appointed as a non-voting member of the board and serves on all board committees.

		MARIA KACHMAR Canadian, as elected Teacher Representative has been appointed as a non-voting member of the Board in June 2011. She serves on the Personnel Committee.

		AMAL BARMORO Swedish, as elected PTA President has been appointed as a non-voting member of the Board in December 2010. Amal has 3 daughters at PSI.
