Our Mission Statement: To represent the voice of all middle and high school students in our school and improve the life of the student body.
The PSI Student Council is a form of student government that bridges the gap between students and their teachers. We represent our fellow students’ demands, wishes or suggestions and forward them to the Principal, teachers, or other staff. We meet every Monday and Friday at 12.20 (middle and secondary school lunchtime) in room 109 in the secondary building. Everyone is more than welcome to attend our meetings.
We have been hard at work since the beginning of the year, trying to improve the work of our Council. In previous years, there was a secondary student council in PSI, but it worked very inefficiently. This year, we changed the structure of Student Council completely, removing most of the previous hierarchy. However, we are also much stricter about attendance and hard work. There is a lot to do!
The Student Council is basically a small government. Therefore it helps to develop student leadership skills, the ability to co-operate and work in a team and make compromises. But mainly, it teaches how to get things done. It also provides students with some CAS hours to recognize the importance of serving on behalf of the student body.
Please do not hesitate to contact us. The Student Council is here to improve school life for you, and we can only help you if we know what to help with. Therefore if you have any suggestions, please email our Student Council at psistudentcouncil@gmail.com. We are also offering corporate sponsor advertisements for this year’s prom. If you are interested, please contact the same website.
