Authorisation and Accreditation

PSI is an international school authorised to teach all three programmes of the International Baccalaureate® (IB). This is only possible through qualification after a rigorous process of application and regular review for quality assurance. As a member school of the IB global learning community, we share a common commitment to the goals of the International Baccalaureate, which complement those of Pechersk School International.

International Accreditation

PSI is also the only school in Ukraine that holds dual international school accreditation. Since 2003, our School has received accredited member status from two premier accreditation organisations, the Council of International Schools (CIS) in Europe and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in the United States. This means that our school’s philosophy, governance, curriculum, resources, staffing, and operations meet rigorous standards set by these internationally recognised agencies. In doing so, our school sets improvement goals to meet ever-higher levels of performance and opens its doors periodically to regular review by the school community and experienced outside evaluators. PSI's accreditation was renewed for five years (through 2017) - the longest period of accreditation granted. It will come under review again in February 2018. Further details on the accreditation process may be found at the websites of the Council of International Schools (www.cois.org) and NEASC (www.neasc.org).

Memberships

PSI is also a member of the European Council of International School (ECIS) and the Central and Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA). These affiliations provide:

- Our students with the opportunity to participate in international sporting, cultural, and academic events within the European international schools network

- Our staff with professional training by recognised international teaching consultants and organisations

PSI is also supported by the U.S. Department of State Office of Overseas Schools and is authorised by the Ministry of Education in Ukraine.
