PSI: Your Next Professional Challenge
Are you a teacher with energy, a commitment to student learning in the International Baccalaureate® (IB) programmes, a passion for learning, and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues? To realise our vision, we require all of these qualities in our teachers at PSI.
Our staff is made up of 65 teachers from eleven different countries with the four largest national groupings represented by the USA (25%), Canada (20%), UK (15%) and Ukraine (15%). All hold teaching degrees and many hold advanced degrees. PSI recruits its overseas teachers from recognised international school recruitment organisations that rigorously screen the background and experience of teaching candidates. We require at least two years of full time classroom experience, teacher certification and a degree in the subject area and / or grade level for which you are applying. A near native level of English is also essential.
Working at PSI involves our commitment to your ongoing professional learning. PSI provides workshop opportunities and runs a wide range of training events throughout the year so that all staff can update their skills and promote the best international school practices that help each child develop to his or her highest potential. We maintain our commitment to the IB by ensuring that both experienced IB teachers and those new to the programmes are appropriately trained and certified through IB conferences, workshops and online courses.
Our staff enjoy working in a supportive learning environment with strong, positive connections between administration, staff, students and parents. PSI offers a competitive salary and benefits package. We appreciate professionals who are enthusiastic, model the IB Learner Profile and have both a sense of adventure and a sense of humour. While IB training and experience are preferred, they are not a prerequisite to employment. Working and living in Kyiv is an enjoyable experience and provides the opportunity to explore the interesting and beautiful regions of Ukraine and beyond.
