In addition to its academic curriculum, PSI offers a comprehensive Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme for children from Kindergarten to Grade 12. This programme aims to provide students with opportunities to cultivate and enrich existing skills as well as explore new areas of interest.
Activities run on a four season calendar (approximately 2 September 2 - 1 November, 11 November - 24 January, 3 February 3 - 4 April, and 14 April - 20 June). Each sessions offers students a variety of choices.
Activities include arts and crafts, performing arts, musical pursuits, both indoor and outdoor physical activities, mother tongue enrichment, movement and dance as well as interest clubs. PSI also participates in international Math and Knowledge Bowl competitions through the Central and Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA). The Primary School After School Activity football and basketball programmes also participate in local tournaments with invited schools.
There are annual musical and drama productions in both Secondary and Primary as well as musical performances in both divisions during the course of the year. In addition, PSI is a member of the International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA) and travels each year to drama festivals organised worldwide by this arts education organisation. These activities are valued experiences in the holistic development of the PSI student and all are encouraged to participate.
Finally, the Secondary School runs an extensive athletics programme that includes participation in a local league and in the CEESA regional league. For more information, please see our website pages on CEESA and Athletics.
