Dear Parents:

Welcome back! I hope you had a restful and enjoyable holiday. We're happy to see our students and staff back for the second half of the school year.

I want to remind you that our semester ends on Wednesday, 23 January. This is a great time for students to be checking with teachers to make sure that they are on track for the semester. I encourage you to also log into MyPSI to look at your child's progress. Please check with individual teachers if you have any questions or concerns.

I encourage Grade 6 – 8 parents to attend the Parent Education Tuesday (PET) on 15 January at 8:30 am in the café conference room. Sue Williams and Glen Nicholson will be presenting information about how to read and interpret your child's MAP scores. This twice-yearly test provides us with a good 'snapshot' of your child's progress in reading and mathematics and helps us ensure that our programme is keeping all students on track academically.

Finally, a reminder that snowy roads and winter weather can make morning travel a hassle. Please make sure that you are always planning ahead to ensure that your child arrives on time to school every day. We don't want them to miss anything!

Regards,
