As we begin to prepare for Literacy Month in March, it is that time of year for students to start working on their entries for the writing competitions. Here's what you need to know:
Young Author's Award
'Firsts - love, failure, friend, pain, broken, success, impressions, snow etc.
All Secondary and Primary School student are welcome and encouraged to participate!
How to submit
Young Author's Award entries can be submitted to your child's homeroom teacher, Mr Reardon or Ms Pam. All entries must include a cover page available from Mr Reardon or class homeroom teachers.
Alexander Awards entries for Secondary School students can be submitted via Open Form on MyPSI Homeroom.
The final deadline for all Primary School submissions is 4 March.

Primary students may submit one piece of writing for each category - narrative and poetry.
All submissions must include work completed independently and must be related to the theme.

Entries will be judged by a selected panel of staff and student judges.

Publication and dramatisation.
All entries meeting the requirements will be published in the 2019 edition of Ink Stains Magazine.

If you haven't yet placed an order in our online Scholastic book club and you still wish to, you have until midnight on Sunday, 3 February. If you wish to contribute to the book suggestion document and help with the selection of the books for the library collection, please add your requests to this document by 15 February. All ordered materials will be available at the beginning of the next academic year in August / September 2019.
