PSI Physical and Health Education

Please visit the PSI PHE Website for all updates and other details each week.

Semester 2 Swimming Medical Checks: Please be aware that most students' medical clearance to swim will expire between the end of February and the middle of March 2019. To ensure that all students have updated clearance, our school medical staff will again conduct swimming checks for all our students at PSI. As always, we will follow Child Safety and Protection guidelines that ensure that a professional medical officer and a second adult are present at examinations.

Only the basic swimming medical check will be done. Students participating in Season 3 ECA and SSS swimming sessions will be tested first. This will be followed by checks for all students during PHE lessons, as follows:

11 - 28 February: Season 3 ECA swimmers, both Primary and Secondary

11 - 28 February: Primary students

4 - 8 March: Possible additional dates for Primary

11 - 22 March: Secondary students

Students must have medical clearance to use the pool for ECAs, SSS and PHE lessons.

Remember that each check lasts for only 6 months. If you are unsure about whether your child needs to be checked, please contact his / her class teacher, who has a list of when each student's swimming medical check will expire.

Volleyball: As part of our PSI Panthers Primary Sports Programme, we will hold the Grade 5 Newcombe Volleyball tournament in March; more details will be provided to students and parents next week. Newcombe is a modified game of volleyball and is a lead up event for possible participation in Grade 6 volleyball. This year, it is a trial as we compete in our four house teams - Kyi, Lybid, Schek and Khoriv.
