We're looking forward to a busy week next week.
As part of our Literacy Month activities, we will welcome storyteller Andy Wright, who will offer an assembly for our Grades 6 – 8 students followed by a series of grade level workshops on writing. Thanks to PSI librarians Polina Spencer and Pam York for organising these annual author visits – always a highlight of Literacy Month!
On Tuesday, 19 March from 14:00 - 16:00 in the auditorium, we will also host our annual Futures Forum. This year's focus is on skills our students are learning now that will help them throughout their future. Many of our Secondary students will participate by hosting demonstrations / booths on topics like multilingualism and robotics. We're also pleased to have presentations by some Grade 10 Personal Project students and some Grade 12 Extended Essay students. Please join us on the 19th to celebrate the many ways that our students are getting ready for their future. There are no ECAs on this day.
Please also make sure that your calendar is marked for Monday, 25 March. This is a professional development day for teachers and TAs, with no school for students.
Finally, I want to encourage you - as always! - to connect directly with your child's teachers if you have questions or concerns. Rachel Caldwell and I are also happy to hear from you, but our goal is to keep these conversations as close as possible to the people involved so that we provide quick and complete answers to your question.
