PSI Panthers Athletics

Parents and students can have a look at the PSI Panthers Athletics Website for programme details and to sign up for 2018 / 2019 sports teams.

KSSL Middle School Boys and Girls Volleyball Tournament - On Thursday, 18 April, we will host the KSSL Boys and Girls Middle School Volleyball Tournament in our gym from 14:00 to 20:00. Spectators are welcome; we will have lucky seat prizes with PSI merchandise to give away. Details of game times are on the website.

Tennis Training Gr 5 to Gr 12 - Starting soon, we will have training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays off campus for boys and girls who would like to be involved in learning / playing tennis. The programme is available for students from Grade 5 to Grade 12 with all levels of ability. We have some tennis racquets you can borrow if needed. Sessions will be 15:00 to 17:00 each time. A PSI bus will take students to the venue and return to PSI after the sessions. If interested, please speak to Mr. Floyd.

CEESA Volleyball Team Selection Updates - Our preparations are well under way for the upcoming CEESA Tournaments in May. Athletes and their parents are reminded to do the following:

  • Check you have a visa to enter the host country
  • Check that your passport is valid; if recently updated, inform Mr. Floyd
  • If you are a Ukrainian athlete, please organise a notarised letter using the template provided
  • Pay the flight invoice before the deadline
  • Update Mr. Floyd with any changes to medical information and or dietary requirements via email

PSI Physical and Health Education

Semester 2 Swimming - Lessons are now in the second week and we have started to develop each group with both swimming and life saving skills. Students and parents are reminded that we keep attendance records. Students who do not have a medical exemption and do not attend enough lessons to be assessed will be asked to attend catch up lessons.

MYP Track and Field Tournament - Students in Grades 6 - 10 will again have the Track and Field Tournament at the end of their unit to celebrate what they have learned and achieved. See this poster for more details. Who will be the 2019 Champions? Previous champions were Khoriv in 2017 and Lybid in 2018.

PYP and MYP Swimming Tournament - A new MYP Swimming Tournament will be conducted from 3 - 7 June. Please see the Swimming Tournament Poster. Who will be the first champion house team? Stay tuned for further details!
