Community, Action, Service

At PSI, we are confident about developing well rounded students who reflect the attributes of the IB Learner Profile. At PSI, all students from EC - Grade 12 participate in and contribute to various community service initiatives, either on or off campus.

In the PYP, taking action is one of the five Essential Elements and is often linked with units of inquiry. In the MYP and DP, community action is a compulsory requirement of the IB. For students in Grades 11 - 12, it is an essential component of the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) programme and forms part of the PSI graduation requirements.

A central focus of both our academic and extra curricular programmes is demonstrating care and positive action through the support of vulnerable groups in society. As a result, students actively imprve the lives and well-being of others in the local and global community whilst learning important life skills .

In addition, throughout the academic year, Primary and Secondary students have the opportunity to apply for PTA grants to help fund student-led service initiatives that are based at school or in the community.
