DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
Dear Students, Parents and Community Members:

External Endicott Accreditation Survey
Last Friday, all parents received a separate email and invitation to participate in the official Endicott survey. This external survey is an important step in our school accreditation process. Please go to the link provided in that letter and take a few minutes to complete the survey - in the language of your choice!  If you have any questions, please contact Secondary principal Patricia Puia (patriciap@psi.kiev.ua) for assistance.

Annual General Meeting
The PSI AGM will be held on Thursday, 19th May 2016, 6.30 pm, at the Radisson Blu Hotel. All PSI community members are invited to attend. Please click on this LINK to see the event poster and details about our special wine, canapes and networking theme.

Please return your PSI Board of Governors election voting ballot by Thursday, 19th May 2016, 6:30 pm. Ballot hardcopies were forwarded home yesterday with the youngest student in each family. Please vote for one or all of the parents who have nominated. Voting must be on the official ballot that has been provided.

Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony

Important - Closure / Cancellation Information

 
Please note that this Saturday, 14th May, there is no Saturday programme due to the CEESA Volleyball Tournament. There are also no ECAs for both Primary and Secondary students on Thursday, 19th May due to the Primary Student Led Conferences.

All Primary students will finish school at 12:00 noon with buses departing shortly after. Please use the LINK here to sign up for the conferences, supervision if remaining at school and lunch programme on this day. Secondary students finish at 3 pm as usual.

Families have not been charged for these ECA and SSS dates, as they were not included in the season planning. Please contact the ECA Coordinators if you have any question at eca@psi.kiev.ua.

Intentions To Return Form (Reminder)

 
It is now time to confirm your intentions to enroll for the 2016 / 2017 Academic School Year and to secure your son / daughter’s place(s) in classes. Confirmed places are held for those families that have declared their intentions to return on the form that was distributed 5/4/2016. Please email the PSI registrar if you have any questions or require a new form registrar@psi.kiev.ua

MAP Testing

 
Your child will be taking a computer based MAP test during the weeks of May 16-20. This test  is based on international academic standards in mathematics and reading. Your child is taking this test as a follow up to the first test in September, 2015. This is a multiple-choice  test that is completed independently. Students are given ample time to complete the test.

HSG CEESA VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
This weekend, the last ever CEESA Tournament held in the OLD GYM will be conducted and our High School Girls Volleyball Teams will compete against other international schools over 3 days. Please see the schedule of games LINK and come and support our PSI PANTHERS. A special thank you to our wonderful host families for hosting our visitors in our school, in Kyiv and in Ukraine.

Parent Education Tuesday (PET) Meeting This Week

PET meetings offer educational information, coffee, and conversation about school programmes and supporting student learning from home. Meetings are held at 8:30 am in the PSI cafeteria. Here is the agenda for our next meeting;

  • Tuesday, 17th May - PTA Meeting in place of a PET presentation.
  • Tuesday, 24th May @ 8:30 am in the Cafeteria. Michael Palmer presents: Understanding Your Child’s Map & Acer Test Results.

Russian and English Lessons For Parents  


Parents are invited to join our free Russian classes. Please come along to the lesson that you feel fits you best.
  • Beginners: Tuesdays at 2 - 3 pm in room S305 and Thursdays at 2 - 3 pm in room S204  
  • Intermediate: Mondays at 2 - 3 pm in S202 and Thursday at 3 - 4 pm in room S203
  • Advanced: Wednesdays at 2 - 3 pm in TBD later and Fridays at 2 - 3 pm in room S305
