DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
Dear Students, Parents and Community Members:

Phase 2 Building Begins Monday
We would like to announce that KAN Bud, is our successful building contractor, and will begin the Phase 2 Building Project on Monday. Over several months, we have communicated this date and the related logistical changes required. In particular, we have information about the closing of the central playground and moving some PE off campus. Ms Tatz and Ms Puia are both sharing letters today including their specific plans and changes ahead. We anticipate organised changes ahead that will limit disruption and keep safety as our priority.

PSI Annual General Meeting & Board Election Results

Thank you to the parents and staff who attended our AGM last night. The PSI Board took the opportunity to ‘tell their story of a successful school year’.

We congratulate and welcome our new members; Alex Munteanu, Yulia Badritdinova and Peter Erben. Congratulations also to Tetiana Bugasova who continues with the Board for a new term.

PTA Glittering Night Event
Thank you to everyone  who attended this fun PTA event. It was an extremely enjoyable community night, full of food, music and wonderful action prices. All very ‘glittering’ time. Thank you to the PTA Steering Committee for arranging such a great event:

Anniversary Fun Run - This Sunday

If the Fun Run needs to be cancelled due to heavy rain the PSI community will receive an email prior to 8:00 am. An email will only be sent for a cancellation.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS CEESA VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
Last weekend, we conducted the CEESA High School Girls Volleyball Tournament.The PSI Athletics Department would like to congratulate our 2 teams who finished 4th and 6th. Also congratulations to Maria Turner and Clara Lemaire who were named in the All Stars Team. Most importantly, we would like to thank the wonderful PSI Host Families who hosted students for the 3 nights as everyone from the visiting teams commented on how amazing you were and how generous it was to have such warm families. A huge thank you to the many staff members who worked behind the scenes with transport, catering, medical and set up. Without them we could not host these events.

Parent Education Tuesday (PET) Meeting This Week

PET meetings offer educational information, coffee, and conversation about school programmes and supporting student learning from home. Meetings are held at 8:30 am in the PSI cafeteria. Here is the agenda for our next meeting;

  • Tuesday, 24th May @ 8:30 am in the Cafeteria. Michael Palmer presents: Understanding Your Child’s Map & Acer Test Results.

Russian and English Lessons For Parents  


Parents are invited to join our free Russian classes. Please come along to the lesson that you feel fits you best.
  • Beginners: Tuesdays at 2 - 3 pm in room S305 and Thursdays at 2 - 3 pm in room S204 
  • Intermediate: Mondays at 2 - 3 pm in S202 and Thursday at 3 - 4 pm in room S203
  • Advanced: Wednesdays at 2 - 3 pm in TBD later and Fridays at 2 - 3 pm in room S305

What a fantastic evening we had on Saturday at the Glittering Night! It was really great to see so many of you there. Whether it was dancing, drumming, chatting, bidding or overbidding, we saw so many smiling faces. The teacher promises, company and parent donations and fantastic country baskets made a great auction. Thank you all who donated or bought these amazing gifts. And of course, a big thank you to the school for all support in organizing this event!.
